The new FS‐LSI Facility at the Pacific Highway Border Crossing is the first of its kind in Canada. It is designed for expedited scanning of large semi‐trucks and trailers by CBSA. This complex design‐build project features a 19‐foot tall moving x‐ray scanner and modern office space. The radiation‐shielded area housing the scanner required concrete walls up to 1.5 meters thick for radiation containment purposes. Conduit penetrations through the concrete walls needed to be carefully planned and minimized. Utilizing CAD and 3D computer modelling software, Bridge Electric worked closely with Scott Construction and the scanning equipment provider to make sure the electrical systems would integrate with the sophisticated equipment and meet the end user’s needs.
This state‐of‐the art building is another successful project completed by Bridge Electric ON TIME!
