SFU Residences Phase One is a 7 and 8 story student dormitory project at SFU’s Burnaby Mountain campus. The buildings included:
- 485 Student rooms
- Two Caretaker apartments
- Multi-story student lounges & study rooms
- Games room amenity area
- Multi-Purpose amenity area
- Interfaith religious area
- Dance Studio
- Sound-absorbent music classrooms
The unique shape and structural design of this project brought its fair number of challenges. Each system required multiple wiring methods to traverse these towers. From in slab, and surface conduit, feeder cabling and underground raceways, our crews tackled each challenge with enthusiasm and professionalism.
The VRCA recognized Bridge Electric’s efforts on this project with the 2021 VRCA Silver Award of Excellence
