Nordstrom’s is a high-end retail store located at the old Sear’s site in Pacific Centre, Downtown Vancouver. It comprises of 3 levels, 230,000 ft² TI space with an emergency generator, distribution system, Siemens fire alarm, Wattstopper lighting control system, and over 11,000 light fixtures.
In early August, just 1 month before opening, the project was done with substantial completion received from the City of Vancouver, then Nordstrom added 35 Vendor shops, brand names such as Balenciaga, Burberry, St. Laurent Paris, Chloe, Celine, Alexander McQueen, Armani, Stella, Tom Ford, and Channel, among others. Many areas required stripping out and restarting, all with no change to the opening date in Sept. Crews worked evenings and weekends to achieve this. For Bridge Electric, our deficiency list was minor and our crews completed the project on time and under budget making for a very happy customer. The Engineer commented that in 17 years of designing and building Nordstrom’s across the US he had not seen a better organized project than this one by the Bridge team.
